River Talk

Je rêve du fleuve

Jack Kerouac wrote:

"My pure little favorite river of the Northwest by which I'd sit,

with wine,

on sawdust stumps at night,

drinking to the sizzle of the stars

and watching the moving mountain send and pass that snow."

And a wet splashy happy thank you to Lee Tracy ( http://leetracy.posterous.com/).>

I'm still trying to figure out how she magically threw me into the river,

with her hands folded peacefully

holding the utmost of patience, encouragement, and gentleness.

NetNEWs VI ~ yesterday

After making an inquiry today,  I heard that the Net will be coming down in a few weeks.(or most of it.) I am filling up on Net time, and adjusting to the thought of the upcoming changes.

(1-12-12) waking dream

I'm out on a cold day, walking-the-camera in order to visit The Net again. (For years now, I've loved watching Net&Elements theatre.) I hear it is going to be torn down next week. And this impending finale has me wondering about changing metaphors in the story the Net has been telling me.

I hang out, get in the flow, and click away. But then, after a certain unintended click I accidentally erase all the photos (instead of one) that I've taken in the last couple days. Now I get to experience an enhanced feeling of a special brand of separatioN anxiETy.

One swear word and a deep breath later,

I look up and am dazzled by the lighting and a sunbow appearing.

As I am writing about this now, I laugh at realizing that I didn't take a picture, I was taken   - on a journey, taken into a walk-the-camera dream-net, where one thing leads to another, and the wind and light lovingly whisper-- listen and pay attention along the way.  (to be continued).

My favorite wabi-sabi net that I've watched for years,

might get taken down this week.

And I am left with the strangest feeling of attachment

for a torn net that plays with the wind and sky.
